Fonweld E138MO
FONWELD E 138Mo
Type: Austenitic Stainless Steel Electrode for Heat-resisting Steels
DIN EN1600:1997: E 23 12 2 L R 1 2
AWS A5.4:92: E 309 MoL - 16
Applications:
- Special electrode for welded joints on difficult-to-weld steels, especially for repairs. For welding buffer layers on clad plates. Suitable for welded joints between austenitic and ferritic steels (black-white jonts). This electrode can also be used satisfactorily with welding units with low striking voltage (units for branching to lighting supply circuit)
Characteristics:
- Rutile coated electrode with very good welding characteristics and high mechanical strength values. Very good slag removal. Austenitic weld deposit with a ferrite content of approx. 15-20%. Non-scaling up to a temperature of 1050ºC. The addition of Mo ensures increased strength at elevated temperatures and improved corrosion resistance.
Current mode: DCEP / AC
