Fonweld E138
FONWELD E 138
Type: Austenitic Electrode with Ferrite Content
DIN EN1600:1997: E 23 12 L
Applications:
- Austenitic-Ferritic electrode with approx. 15% ferrite content, suitable for welded joints between high alloy and unalloyed steels. For welding buffer layers on 18/8 Cr-Ni clad steels. For weld surfacing on unalloyed steels. For weld surfacing on unalloyed steel when a 18/8 Cr-Ni alloy must already be obtained in the first layer . For heat-resisting steels with approx. 20% Cr and 12% Ni. e.g. Wnr. 1.2780, 1.4825, 1.4826,1.4828, 1.4832. Post weld heat treatment: stress-relieving of long duration up to max. 610OCfor surface layers and during max. 4 hours up to 650OC for welded joints.
Characteristics:
- Rutile coated electrode with very good welding characteristics and high mechanical strength values. Very good slag removal. Austenitic weld deposit with a ferrite content of approx. 15-20%.
Current mode: DCEP / AC
